Hi, this is Bob Waggoner. I created TripleRing Productions and along with my wife Gwen, co-owner Guy Vesco, event director and new partner Gina Evans we plan to bring an element of cycling that I really enjoy to Butte and Southwest Montana.TripleRing Productions is a tax-exempt, 501c3 non-profit educational association. Donations to TripleRing Productions are generally tax deductible. TRP's tax identification number is 27-1221289.
Presently Montana has a pretty good Mountain bike and Road bike racing series, but not much in the way of endurance Mountain bike racing. My goal is to change that. I have spent the last ten years racing 24 hour events in the US and Canada, I'm looking at bringing that to Montana as well as 100 mile endurance racing.
This site is designed to make contributing information as easy as possible – please make comments. I'm keen to get in touch with anyone who might be able to help add new content or edit/ update material.
New HARDER course this year?
I heard a rumor that the 100 mile course will be even harder this year than last . . . is this true?
Not Harder
Not really harder just more single track on the 100 mile. The 50 mile will be reversed so that you will finish with the most fun flowing gradule downhill.

More Singletrack
Oh . . .
Do you anticipate it taking longer to complete the course, with this change?
Singletrack
Most likely a little bit longer but not much. The change will replace the paved highway section through Elk Park with old mining trails and 4 wheeler trails. I shouldn't call the change singletrack, more like double track. As soon as the new snow is gone we will be GPSing this change, hopefully in the next week or two.
Longer?!
I loved the Butte 100 last year, but honestly, with only one rider finishing in under 10 hours, I'm not sure I want this year's version to be ANY longer!
I second that!!
I second that!!
No longer
We will try to keep the course as close to 100 and 50 miles as possible. If any new sections add distance we will make adjustments elsewhere.

New Sponsor joins TRP BUTTE 100-Mountain Coffee
The Tamblyn brothers Nate and Jeff (who i grew up with and have many stories that usually end in stitches and begin with bike) are going to be a new addition to the jersey this year. MOUNTAIN COFFEE will be joining our already great group of sponsors.
Thanks Nate and Jeff!
